Terms and Conditions: Toad’s Aquatics

1. Bookings and Payments

All swimming lessons must be booked in advance via our secure checkout, payment online or in person.

A child’s place is not secured until the booking has been processed and confirmed. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the Confirmation Email. For any issues or queries reach out to us on info@toadsaquatics.co.uk

2. Cancellations and Refunds

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, swimming lessons are classified as "leisure services with specific dates." Consequently, the statutory 14-day "cooling-off" period does not apply once a booking is confirmed.

  • Client Cancellations: No refunds, credits, or makeup sessions are provided for absences, illness, or withdrawal by the client. This includes "no-shows" due to holidays or transport issues.

  • Service Cancellations: Should Toad’s Aquatics be required to cancel a session (e.g., due to pool maintenance or instructor illness), a full credit or partial refund for a future session  might be issued to the client within 14 days, at the discretion of Toad's Aquatics on a case by case basis

3. Health, Hygiene & Pool Safety

  • Illness: To protect all swimmers, children must not attend lessons if they have experienced a fever, cough, or any gastric upset (vomit or diarrhoea) within the last 48 hours.

  • Pool Contamination: In the interest of health and safety, if a "contamination incident" (such as vomit or a bathroom accident) occurs, the pool must be cleared and closed immediately for professional sanitization.

  • Incidents & Refunds: If a lesson is cut short or cancelled due to an incident caused by your child, no refund or credit will be provided for that session. If a lesson is cancelled due to an incident caused by another student, Toad’s Aquatics might provide a credit toward a future lesson, a full credit or partial refund for a future session, issued to the client within 14 days, at the discretion of Toad's Aquatics on a case by case basis

  • Swimwear: We strongly encourage the use of a "Double Nappy System" (a disposable swim nappy under a neoprene "Happy Nappy") for all children under 4 years old or those not yet 100% toilet confident.

4. Parental Responsibility

  • A parent or legal guardian must remain on the premises at Trinity Trainer Pool for the duration of every lesson.

  • Toad’s Aquatics is responsible for students only while they are in the water during their designated lesson time.

5. Photography and Recording

To ensure the safeguarding and privacy of all children, the use of cameras, video equipment, or mobile phone photography is strictly prohibited on the poolside or in the changing rooms.

6. Professional Standards & Safeguarding

The instructor at Toad’s Aquatics holds an Enhanced DBS check and is a fully qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher. A formal Safeguarding Policy is published on our website. By booking, you agree to comply with our safeguarding standards and the rules of the venue (Trinity Trainer Pool)

7. Liability

Toad’s Aquatics holds full Public Liability Insurance. While we take every precaution to ensure safety, we are not liable for the loss or damage of personal belongings left at the venue.
